About HISP Vietnam-Mekong

Our Story

HISP Vietnam-Mekong, based in Ho Chi Minh City, is a member of the global Health Information Systems Programme (HISP) network, coordinated by the Department of Informatics at the University of Oslo. The organization specializes in the development, implementation, and support of health information management systems (HIMS) using the open-source, web-based DHIS2 platform. HISP Vietnam-Mekong has extensive experience supporting Ministries of Health and development partners across Southeast Asia and the Pacific. Countries supported include Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Indonesia, and Pacific Island nations such as Tonga, Solomon Islands, and Vanuatu. Key partners include PSI and the World Health Organization (WHO). The organization provides a range of services including:

  • Custom development and deployment of DHIS2-based HIMS
  • Capacity building and training for DHIS2 users
  • Technical support for data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Research and innovation in digital health systems

HISP Vietnam-Mekong is committed to strengthening health information systems, improving data quality and availability, and empowering evidence-based decision-making across the region through the use of DHIS2.
